Lake House
Creating the perfect rental retreat.
This was a very exciting project to take a very outdated large private lake home south of Raleigh and turn it into a destination vacation rental. The project began with a walk through with the client to understand their plans for the property. We developed a prioritized a roadmap to breakdown this large project into parts.
The entire home needed new paint, the rooms with carpet needed luxury vinyl flooring installed, the bathrooms needed updating, and new furnishing needed to be purchased, delivered and assembled. Each room was themed with a tranquil, nautical style. Games were purchased for the game room. Final touches were added to ensure all basic necessities were present for short or long-term vacation rentals including a stocked kitchen, bedding and linens.
The second phase of the project focused on reopening the inground pool and a complete renovation of the pool house. The pool had been closed for 5 years and needed frequent maintenance to make it ready for swimmers. The pool house bathroom needed a complete gut and remodel. The brick walkway that was treacherous terrain was replaced and enlarged with concrete path from home to pool. The wet bar area received updates to give it a fun, modern vibe. Pool furniture, floats and towels were added to complete the space.
The final phase was replacing the rotten pier, adding a firepit and cleaning up the outside grounds. You can find the listing for this beautifully remodeled lake home below!
