Mid-Century Modern Design

Transformation of a dated home on Hyco Lake to a trendy, Mid-Century Modern style. My client was permanently moving from Apex, NC into her vacation home on Hyco lake. She did not want the expected "lake home" decor but rather a space that was a reflection of her hip, trendy style. After meeting with Wendy a couple of times, I quickly determined she loved color, texture and art. It was important to have the whole home renovation be a comfortable home with a unique artistic flare.

After a session with her of reviewing mood boards to determine her style, I was quickly drawn to a Mid-Century Modern look. I worked with the client and her contractor over the course of 7 months to incorporate this design into every renovated space. This renovation included the following services:

• Flooring change throughout the entire main level

• Paint change throughout the entire home

• New kitchen design and layout which opened up the kitchen with a free-standing island

• Kitchen cabinet colors, tile backsplash design and quartz countertop selection highlighting a beautiful waterfall island layout

• New kitchen appliance selection including beautiful GE Cafe appliances in matte black with brass hardware

• Master bathroom redesign

• Creating a brand-new trendy powder room/laundry room (lovingly called the "Peacock Room"

• Complete furniture selection
